TechLit: Caltech's Creative Writing Club

Are you planning to write the next Pulitzer-prize-winning novel, if only you can find the time? Join TechLit, Caltech's creative writing club, where graduate and undergraduate students who enjoy creative writing can come together to work on and improve their awesome short stories, poems, memoirs, or novels. Food and snacks will be provided to help fuel the creative process.

Monthly Meetings and Peer Critique Sessions

First Saturday of each month from 5:30-8 PM, usually in one of the Club Rooms.

A typical TechLit meeting is structured as follows:

  • One hour of free-writing time for members to work on their current creative projects.
  • Critique sessions where members discuss each other's work, which they have read beforehand and marked with suggestions for improvement.

Don't forget to bring a laptop or pen + paper to write with! E-mail us at techlit-info@caltech.edu if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!

Casual Writing Sessions

Usually 4-6pm on the third Saturday or Sunday of the month, depending on officer availability. We get together to hang out and write in an informal setting. Snacks are provided.
